Chromogenic substrate S-2302 (H-D-Pro-Phe-Arg-pNA · 2HCl, 62354-56-7) is a classic kallikrein colorimetric substrate. It enables rapid and quantitative detection of KLK activity through colorimetry and is one of the most mature and reliable substrates used in kinin system research.
This product is supplied in lyophilized powder form, with high stability, easy storage, and easy reconstitution. It is suitable for various buffer systems and detection systems. Whether for routine enzyme activity assays, kinetic parameter analysis, or inhibitor screening experiments, S-2302 provides good signal-to-noise ratio and inter-batch consistency, offering a solid data foundation for experimental results.
Mechanism: Kallikrein recognizes and hydrolyzes the amide bond between the C-terminal arginine (Arg) and p-nitroaniline (pNA) of the substrate, releasing yellow pNA.
Detection: As the reaction proceeds, the solution turns yellow. By monitoring the absorbance change at OD 405 nm, enzyme activity can be quantified. It has high sensitivity and a good linear range.
